Weekend Guide to Chicago

Chicago, I love you!
Hands down one of my favorite cities ever to visit. If the winter's weren't so harsh I would move there tomorrow! Below is my quick guide of Chicago musts.
(Outside of Little Goat)

1Visit Wrigley Field.
The area around the ballpark is full of history and a lot of new fun places too. If the cubs are in town go to a game and drink an Old Style! The people are friendly and the atmosphere is unlike any other. Wrigley is one of the oldest baseball stadiums in America with the most loyal fans.

2. Grab deep dish pizza.
If you are from the area you take a side: Lou Malnati's or Giordano's. I personally have not met a pizza I haven't liked so I recommend going to both! At Giordano's you can get a personal sized pizza to go so if you are in a rush or want just a little for later I recommend going for this option. If you are hanging out closer to the south side of town, check out Pizanos!

3. Visit Navy Pier and watch the sailboats on Lakeshore Drive
Lake Michigan is beautiful and lined with sailboats in the spring and summer. The vast sidewalks extend along Lakeshore Drive allowing you to walk the lake. I also recommend taking a Chicago water taxi to explore the city via the river.

4. Visit Millennium Park
Everyone needs a photo in front of Cloud Gate aka the 'bean' ! The iconic landmark in Chicago is massive and located in the heart of the city. It is also located right next the Art Institute of Chicago and Grant Park where the legendary Lollapalooza is held in the summer.

5. See the Chicago theater and shop on Michigan Avenue
The Chicago theater is another must see landmark when exploring Chicago. It is also conveniently located near the Michigan Avenue shopping. Walking around just looking at the architecture in Chicago could take up a whole trip!
