Friendsgiving 2018

Huge shout out to our friends the Guevara's for hosting Friendsgiving this year!
It was our friend group's third year doing it and I love how it continues to grow year after year.

Everyone brings a side or two and it is always interesting to see what people make from their families Thanksgiving table.

Jared and I brought mixed berry jello salad. Sounds gross I know, but every year my mom and I make a triple batch so we can have plenty of left overs!
The recipe comes from my Uncle Chris's family and is now a staple.
(It is the pink purple blob on my plate)

Ingredients:
2 packages Tapioca pudding (cook to serve kind)
1 package raspberry or strawberry jello
1 large can crushed pineapple
1 bag of mixed berries
2 cups of cold water
1- 8oz extra creamy cool whip

Cooking Instructions:
Combine Tapioca, jello and water. Heat until mixture thickens.
Cool mixture
Drain pineapple
Fold in all fruit and cool whop
Chill for at least 2 hours
Serve

Target Home Update 11/20

It takes me forever to decide on what to buy for our home.
Mostly, I end up texting my sister my top three options to narrow it down. She never shies away from telling me what she likes and doesn't like.
We are still in our first home and are slowly updating from hand-me-downs to more of our style. We have bought a few pieces, but it has been about a year since we really updated a few things (new couches and a recliner.) These simple updates that I have added have made our home feel a little bit newer without having to spend way to much money.

Bedroom:
1. My sister painted this for my birthday a few years ago to go over our bed, but Jared just got it moved from the living room. Partial laziness, partially because it looked so good in the living room.
2. New bedspread. We didn't ever really get a bedspread that we loved. Just ones that were handed down or cheaper. So when Target had a few options that I loved on sale, I jumped on  it.

Living Room/Dining:
1. When we moved in I bought a few rugs that were on sale and fit our space. Now that it has been three years it was time for an upgrade and a more adult look for our rugs. I was nervous about what Jared would think, but he opened the box and liked them. Always a plus since he doesn't always agree with my decorating style.

2. We purchased this sign from Smallwoods. I have been eyeing these print signs for a while and finally bit the bullet when it went on sale. I linked some other ones that caught my eye!
