San Francisco is always changing every time I go. I've updated the below based on my trip a few weeks ago!
It is always fun to rediscovered why people fall in love with this city by the bay. The first time I visited a couple of years ago, there was just so much to do that it was overwhelming. So this time I made sure to do the essentials and some things that were more local!
Even though you may think of California as a warm state, when packing for San Francisco always bring a jacket for the cool mornings and evenings.

THINGS TO DO:
The Golden Gate Bridge.
I found the best views from
Golden Gate Welcome Center, Land's End or Baker Beach.
Sausalito
I've always taken the ferry. The ride in is full of great views and you watch the city fade away in the background.
You could bike across the bridge if you are looking for a workout!
This fisherman town is picturesque and has great views of San Francisco.
The Painted Ladies
Who doesn't want a picture by the iconic ladies
where the show Full House was based?
The San Francisco Ferry Building
Not just a historic building, but this open market is a site to see.
Full of artisan goods and unique restaurants.
I know a lot of people say to check out Fisherman's Wharf to see the seals, but if I had to make choices on how to spend my time I would cross this one off the list. The Ms. Doubtfire house is definitely fun to see if you have time! The trolley can be a bit of a wait but if you can get on it is a great way to see the city. You can catch the trolley in Union Square by most of San Francisco's major shopping.
San Francisco has some of the best food in the United States. So many different culinary options in one city and you really can't go wrong. In addition to this list there are several food trucks throughout the city that are worth checking out like Bowl'd Acai.
Anchor Oyster Bar
Tony's in North Beach (AMAZE PIZZA)
Roam (burgers)
Looking to go out in the city?
My friend Jenny recommended these from her San Francisco days.
North Star
Swig (live music)
Maggie McGarry's
Silver Cloud (Karaoke)
Tupelo
And after your night or when you want to
start your mornings off right check out either of these coffee shops.
Phillz Coffee

Phillz Coffee
Blue Bottle
Mr. Holmes Bakehouse (one of the most instagramable spots)
Their croissants are bomb! I didn't get to try a cruffin, but heard it was worth it!
