Living Proof: instant de- frizzer

The Georgia humidity is here in full force. A sign that summer is here in full force and brings outdoor activities, ice cream, and unfortunately frizzy hair.  Living Proof has created a solution for all of us who are tired of the frizz. It smells great and is easy to apply. Just a few sprays and run your fingers through your hair and BAM frizz is under control.

Wellness Wednesday

Sometimes after a long weekend and a hard day at work, it is nice just to get out in the sunshine and do some group yoga. So thankful that the Avalon in Alpharetta offers free Wednesday night class with great sponsors like Lift Yoga and Athleta.

Bottlerock

Bottlerock: the Napa Valley music festival that combines music, culinary fun and of course wine! I was able to go just for the Friday line up and fell in love. I have been to a few other music festivals, but Bottlerock definitely has a different feel. Maybe because it is based in wine country?

When you enter the festival it is like stepping into this light and airy dream. There is even a spa on site where you can get massages, your hair blown out and a glitter bar. I know, I know a lot of music festivals offer these features now, but it was unexpected for me and nice to experience it for the first time.

Earth, Wind and Fire was the main reason I wanted to attend and they were fire! All the hits were played and everyone including the couple who brought their baby were getting down. Friday was full of great bands and I was lucky to Shakey Graves again after seeing them at Lollapalooza in 2015. One of my new favorites after seeing them live is Tank and The Bangas. Talk about a voice! This New Orleans band blew everyone away!

Of course, eventually we needed to stop for food. There isn't just your normal hot dog and pizza festival food. There are curated culinary masterpieces. We had these AMAZING Ruben balls. I am still thinking about them four days later. At the William Sonoma culinary stage  Chef Aaron Sanchez, hosted a crawfish boil demonstration with Tank and Shakey Graves.

After our delicious, but quick bite we headed back to the music and tested out the silent disco. I never thought I would be into a silent disco, but it was so freeing and fun. Every single person is just having the best time and you forget that others may be watching.

We closed out the night with The Chainsmokers. I had seen them in Vegas before, but seeing them at Bottlerock was a different experience. I love that they are able to reach all age groups since they do so many remixes of covers so even if you don't know their songs you can still get into the music!
I fully embraced the festival vibes at Bottlerock and fell in love! If you want a great festival experience with even better food Bottlerock is for you!

Father's Day 2018 Gift Guide

What do you get the man who has everything? I struggle with this every year because my Dad doesn't really ever want anything. This makes his birthday, father's day and Christmas a struggle when trying to come up with something. Sometimes I just throw in the towel and get him a gift card, but I always prefer to get something a little more personal.
As time has gone on I have added a few more people to my father's day list: my father in law, Step father in law and my husband. No we don't have kids, but we do have our pug child so I make sure to get Jared a little thank you for all that he does for Rico.

So below I have rounded up a few gifts that are applicable to all the men in our lives! Now is a great time to get those NFL fans in your life some gear as well, because it is usually sale!
